What speeds can I experience on LTE? +
You can generally expect speeds between 10–30 Mbps. Please note, however, that speeds are determined by the external environment around your home and where the router is situated in your home.
Is the Uncapped LTE SIM compatible with mobile devices such as cellphones or tablets? +
Yes, the SIM can be used in any compatible router and MiFi device. Please note that you will need to be within the Telkom network coverage area for the service to work. Altough phones and tablet can work we don't advise it
Do I need to RICA my SIM card? +
To get things moving, you'll need to upload your original barcoded ID and a valid proof of residence directly to our ClientZone. Can I use my LTE service anywhere? +
You can use the LTE service anywhere provided you are within the relevant Telkom coverage area. That said, LTE is designed to be a fixed home-based product and it can take up to 24 hours to connect to the new tower if you do move it.
Can I use the included SIM card in another device? +
Yes, you can use the SIM inside any other compatible device. Please just note that you'll need to be in the Telkom network coverage area for it to work.
How long will it take for my LTE to be delivered? +
Within 7 business days, provided payment has cleared (stock dependent). You will receive a tracking notification once your SIM has been dispatched.
What router do I need for Freedom LTE? +
Any unlocked LTE or 5G router with a SIM card slot will work — including popular models like the Huawei B315, B535, and Zyxel LTE routers. If you're unsure whether your router is compatible, contact our support team and we'll advise you.
